Medicare

What is Medicare Part A?

Medicare Part A pays for 80% of expenses from hospital visits. (including inpatient nursing care and supplies). It also covers hospice care and home health services.

Medicare Part A coverage is free for most Medicare enrollees.

What is Medicare Part B?

Medicare Part B covers doctor services and supplies (not in the hospital), outpatient care, and preventative services. This includes lab tests, surgeries, checkups, and so on. As with Medicare part A, this covers 80%.

Medicare part B is not free. It comes with a monthly premium that is typically deducted from social security benefits.

What is Medicare Part C?

Medicare Part C is also known as Medicare Advantage. Through private insurance companies, you can receive a number of supplemental advantages and service along with basic Medicare Part A and B coverages.

Oftentimes a medicare advantage plan can help you reduce costs from Medicare while increasing the benefits you receive.

What is Medicare Part D?

Medicare Part D plan covers the costs of prescription drugs.

This part is included in most Medicare Part C plans, but if you have Original Medicare, you might not have Medicare Part D. It's worth making sure that you receive the benefits of this program.

Each Part D plan has a list of covered drugs, known as drug formularies, often organized into “tiers” by cost. No Part D plan covers all drugs, so it’s important to make sure the medications you need are covered by the plan you select.

What is Medicare Supplement?

Medicare Supplement is designed to help pay for the 20% of medical costs not paid for by Medicare A and B.

Medicare supplement plans are sold by private insurance companies, not the federal government. There are several standard Medicare Supplement plans to choose from, labeled Plan A through Plan N. Each basic plan provides the same benefits, regardless of provider, though costs may vary.

Long Term Care

Our policies offer a variety of benefits, making it easy to tailor a plan of coverage that's appropriate for your needs. Here are some of the most popular features.

Cash Benefit

Instead of being reimbursed for the actual costs you incur, you have the option to receive a percentage of your home health care benefit instead.

Care Coordination

Your policy comes with access to the services of a care coordinator, who can assess your needs, develop treatment plans, and facilitate access to services.

Waiver of Premium

With this benefit, you won't have to pay policy premiums as soon as you are actually receiving long-term benefits.

Alternate Care

If a treatment that does not exist today is recommended by your care coordinator, your policy will still cover it.
